Category: News & Events

5168XzBCqL. SX331 BO1204203200 I’m happy to say that my story “Dead Messengers” appears in FRIGHT MARE: WOMEN WRITE HORROR, an anthology of all female authors compiled by author and anthologist Billlie Sue Mosiman. The story is set in the small railroad town of Lamy, NM, just up the road from Santa Fe, where a Detroit-born Anglo who goes by the name Raimundo lives with his Latina girlfriend Esme. Like many in Santa Fe, Raimundo has developed an interest in New Age beliefs, especially those of (in Esme’s words) “a crazy preacher-lady who says you can fuck your way to God.” Maybe yes, maybe no, but Raimundo’s doing his best to find out.

Check out “Dead Messengers” and a host of other great stories by acclaimed women horror writers by googling FRIGHT MARE: WOMEN WRITE HORROR

I’ll be reading from “Dead Messengers” on March 3 at La Tienda at Eldorado (see post below.)
